Hello fellow Mamas!
Londoner mother of three (a boy “Pumpkin”, a girl “Poppy” and my newborn “Baby”), I love children’s fashion and sharing motherhood tips.
At last, June has arrived along with THE greatest countdown of the year (although I also see Christmas as THE greatest countdown)! Anyway, June means that the Summer Holidays are round the corner. Soon, we will enjoy sunshine, freedom, family and friends gatherings, little adventures (or big ones!), golden hair and skin, abundance of ice creams and mouthwatering summer fruits tarts and all these delicious little things which make Summer my favourite season. What I also love about Summer is that my children always seem happiest and healthiest and this feeling is priceless.
So as soon as I see “June” in my diary, I feel an urge to buy swimwear! When it comes to swimming costumes, you have to get it perfectly right as it the only piece of clothes you will wear on the beach!
For a perfect cut, a sturdy quality and stylish and sweet prints, my favourite children swimwear range is Amaia’s.
Take the Portofino swimming costume for little girls; with its precious flowery print, its crossed back straps and thee bottom ruffles, it’s absolutely ravishing! All Amaia’s swimming suits for girls are delicate with bows and frills and sweet with their pretty prints. Besides, they stay where they should be! My daughter Poppy always seems to have the fun of her life when at the beach and, if the cut is not right, she ends up with the bottom of her swimming costume being disgracefully twisted or with the straps falling irritatingly. I’m sure all mothers of little girls see too well what I’m talking about! To avoid this annoying “beach critical situation”, I can’t recommend highly enough Amaia’s swimming costumes!
Now for my little tribe to look chic and adorable on the beach (and on our family photo albums for the many winters to come), I love them wearing matchy swimming costumes. As you know I have a thing for matchy looks! At Amaia, most swimming suits can match and I have found the perfect matchy look with the Capri line: deep blue with pink starfish, this print is fun and cute and both Pumpkin and Poppy love it (for once they agree with each other!) and the perfect cut ensures an elegant look.
My preferred moment at the beach is when they come to me to get their towel after hours of play in the sea. Although my eldest thinks I’m crossing the line, I huddle my nose in their necks and take a deep breath to smell that “holiday perfume” on their sweet skin made of sunshine, sea salt, suncream, cherries and ice cream.
With the sale on, pick up a summer dress like the Clare or the Poppy for girls and a mandarin collared shirt for boys like the Pereprine or the Charles and you are beach ready!
